Use one crutch on opposite side of injured leg. This maintains balance while reducing support. Still use two crutches for long distances or stairs.
Transition to a cane for light support. Use it on opposite side of injured leg. Hold cane more loosely - it's for balance, not weight-bearing.
Start with 5-minute walks around your home without support. Keep cane nearby "just in case." Gradually increase duration.
Walk normally for most activities. May still need cane for long distances, uneven terrain, or when fatigued. Listen to your body!

Solution: Step back to previous level of support for another week.
Don't stop the exercises! Continue your Day 6 routine 3x per week for 6 months after ditching crutches. This prevents re-injury and maintains mobility.
